Wednesday 30th September 2026 - two winners this month, but not may runners due to the lack of any significant rain!

We've not had many runners this month due to the continuing dry and warm weather, meaning the ground is still pretty quick.

However, we've added another two winners to our tally, Hope Rising got the month off to the perfect start by winning at Lingfield on the all-weather, which was her fourth win in a row on the flat. She's been a delight to train, but I think she now deserves a well-earned holiday on the back of finishing sixth at Goodwood last week.

Whilst over jumps, it was great to see Jackstell winning again, this time under a great ride from Gavin at Stratford. He had suffered from atrial fibrillation earlier in the summer, so it's all credit to the team to get him back in top form to win nicely. He should continue to progress through the autumn.

We've hit the crossbar with a few of our other runners. Roger Pol came back to form when a good second at Bangor under a lovely ride from Izzy, whilst Handlethekettle made his comeback run after a year off with injury when second at Worcester, and that should put him spot on for the Silver Trophy at Chepstow in ten days' time.  Whilst, Ride Like a Girl also finished second under a penalty at Bangor. Of our other runners, Rebel Tribesman wasn't beaten far in third at Newton Abbot, whilst Cinnodin and She Is For Me Boys both finished fourth.

Hopefully the rain will arrive soon and we’ll be able to get a few more horses out on the track.
