Horseshoe Reef ran a blinder yesterday at Uttoxeter to be 2nd again. He was up 9lbs for his latest win, up in class, and ran right up to his best, and the front two pulled 15 lengths clear of the third horse, so it was a great run. Its so nice to see that our horses are continuing to run so well despite being upped in class and taking a bit of a blow from the handicapper. He deserves another win before he has a winter break, and we may pop him back into a novice event.
American Ladie runs tomorrow at Newton Abbot. She ran well to finish 2nd on her first start for us at Fontwell 2 weeks ago, when she was hampered several times by a loose horse. I am sure she'll have come on for that run as well, so I'm quietly optimistic for her chances tomorrow despite the fact the race looks very competitive.
