Another good week for Folly House as we added another winner to the tally from just three runners.  I was so chuffed that Howdilyoudo won well at Worcester on Thursday under a wonderfully judged ride from Gavin.  It was our first winner for Tom Chadney’s Chasing Gold partnership, and I think there is a lot more to come from the mare.  She had been placed in 4 of her 6 career starts, but is still a very green and backward type, so I’d like to think she learnt a lot by getting her head in front, and I am sure she will continue to progress.

Howdilyoudo wins at Worcester this week under a wonderfully judged ride from Gavin.

No Anxiety failed by the narrowest of margins to follow up his chasing debut success when 2nd at Warwick on Wednesday.  He jumped really well, but the leader just got away from us off the home turn and we were gaining with every stride but the winning post came a stride too soon.  No Anxiety is only a 5 year old, and is still an embryotic chaser, so I think there is an awful lot more to come from him as he continues to mature.

Our only other runner this week was Some Day Soon, who was 3rd at Stratford last weekend in the class 2 handicap hurdle.  He has probably run a career best off a mark of 139, and as the handicapper is unlikely to relinquish his grip on him, we’ll look to send him novice chasing now.

We’re off to Uttoxeter tomorrow with Alrightjack, who is in terrific form, and then we’ll have a busy bank holiday Monday with runners at Huntingdon and Cartmel, so I’ll keep you updated with how they get on.
