Three days, three runners, and three winners - wow....what a great run we seem to be having.  Following Batu's win at Ffos Las on Sunday, we decided to take the gamble and runHoundscourt on soft ground at Southwell yesterday.  We had avoided soft ground last season, as his wind was a little suspect, but having had a wind op over the summer, we took the risk....and it just about paid off....but only just as we were somewhat fortuitous.  We looked beaten coming to the last when the leader blundered, and unseated which left us well clear of the eventual second.  Phew - I don't think we'll run him on that ground again though, as he hated every minute of it, and it was only his class that pulled him through.  I'd say he'll go chasing now.

Buxom deserved to win today at Huntingdon - she had good form in bumpers, and on her first three starts over hurdles, but the wheels rather fell off, and she had a few little issues.  However, the team at home have worked wonders with her, and I was delighted to get her back into the winners enclosure.  I was chuffed for her owners who had kept faith in her, and I hope that she can go on from this as well, as I am sure she'll be better on better ground as well.
