What an exciting run from Houndscourt yesterday to be 2nd in a pretty warm novice hurdle at Southwell....! He split a couple of decent rated horses from Nicholls and Hobbs, and in turn scuppered any chance of a lenient handicap mark! However, that doesn't matter as we really like this chap, and he will improve further over fences, upped in trip, and he'll also improve further for a wind op as well. He does look a nice sort and I'd hope he can put his head in front in a maiden hurdle at the back end of the month. His work companion is Present View, and I hope he'll be up to the task in a couple of weeks as well - exciting times....
