Stormy Oscar finished 5th last night at Worcester, but it was a step back in the right direction after Uttoxeter, and Fontwell.  It was a shame that Cap Elorn took us on for the lead, as it cut our throat really, and despite still holding a challenging position, a bad mistake at the third last ended our chance really.  However, we jumped very well (bar the 3rd last) and he settled better going on a stride.  Sam reported that we need things to fall right, and that ideally we'd have a soft lead and dictate the race.

We bought a nice juvenile hurdler from France yesterday out of the claimer at Clairefontaine  - Alanjou finished 2nd despite finding the track too sharp.  He has run 4 times over hurdles in France, where he was 2nd on his debut, then 4th, then 6th, and then 2nd again on Monday.  I've copied the video below - he is the one in black and white colours.  I love the way he jumps, and the way he stays on so well inside the final few furlongs, as he'll be an ideal horse for our stiff galloping tracks in England. Having not won, he is still a maiden as well, and so doesn't have to carry a penalty either.  He's been bought by some of the chaps I used to be in the KRH with, and they are looking for a few more people to join in their partnership, so if you are interested, then please let me know.
