Guinness Affair won the bumper at Huntingdon last week in taking fashion under Gavin.  He was 2nd at Fakenham on his racecourse debut, but made a noise that day, so he certainly appreciated the better ground this time, and won with plenty of authority.  He will go novice hurdling now, and should be up to winning a few for us this summer.

Guinness Affair wins a bumper and is our 8th winner in the first month of the new season.

Bucko’s Boy won a maiden hurdle around Fakenham in May and probably bettered that form when 2nd on his handicap debut at Uttoxeter.  He was only beaten for speed inside the final 100 yards, so we’ll look to go up in trip next time.  However, he will have a short holiday now and will run again in the autumn.

Redbridge Gold showed the benefit of her seasonal reappearance with a creditable 2nd at Uttoxeter last week as well.  She jumped well and stayed on well inside the final 2 furlongs, but was beaten by a very well handicapped mare.  I was pleased with our girl though, and I am sure we’ll find her an opening before long.

Of our other runners last week, Howdilyoudo followed up her recent win with a fine 3rd in a better race, and Alrightjack also came 3rd when not beaten far at Uttoxeter.
