It was lovely to see Obsessedwithyou getting her head in front for the second time this season, when winning at Hereford on Sunday. She is only a four year old, and has benefitted from the new NH Junior Novice Hurdle programme. Having won on her racecourse debut, she was 4th in a listed race, before finishing 2nd under a penalty against her own sex. However, she defied a penalty here, and I look forward to stepping her up in Grade later on this season.

We stepped Datsalrightgino up in Grade, and ran him in the Pendil Novice Chase at Kempton last Saturday. He ran a belter to be 2nd, despite not having the run of the race, and it looked the perfect prep run for the Plate at the Festival, but the handicapper gave us a 4lbs hike for our efforts. Let's hope we can defy that back on a left handed track, and we know he loves Cheltenham!
We've not had many other runners lately due to the lack of rain, but I was pleased that Lady Valentine improved to be 2nd at Hereford on Sunday. It shouldn't be long before she gets her head in front.
