We ran Marodima at Newbury on Friday and he ran his usual game and good race to be 3rd, not beaten far. Newbury isn't really his ideal track, but he is quite tricky to place now, as he is a bit high in the handicap following his 2 wins in January. We also ran Millers Reef at Taunton on Thursday, and he ran a nice little race, but probably wont be seen at his best until he is sent handicapping in the summer.

All is building now towards our 2 runners at the Cheltenham Festival. Ixora is entered into the Coral Cup, the Martin Pipe 'Boys' race, and the mares hurdle, I am hoping to run her in the Coral Cup, but all be a lot clearer after the confirmation stage of the race towards the end of next week. We have been planning this since Ixora won so nicely at Cheltenham in the autumn - so it'll be lovely if she was to run in the Coral Cup. Graduation Night won his first three chase starts in the autumn as well, and he will be running in the National Hunt 4 mile novice chase. It is fabulous for a yard of only 25 horses, to have 2 going to Cheltenham with every chance...... We all need a bit of luck, so fingers crossed they get there in one piece and do themselves justice, and any more will be a bonus.
