Miss Milborne ran another tremendous race to be 2nd at Kempton yesterday in a class 1 listed contest for mares over 3 miles. She has now gained that all important black type that enhances her residual value as a future brood mare. Mission accomplished. After proving that she is one of the best staying mares in the country I think we are best to stick to hurdles for the rest of the season. I think she'd be a certainty in a mares novice chase, and has tons of potential in that sphere, but we might be best to put that on hold to pursue hurdling a bit further. This might mean that we have a few more placed efforts this season without necessarily winning, but I think its worth it. After all she just needs to find 2 lengths improvement to be the best staying mare there is......
