Double Treasure fairly bolted up on Saturday at Chepstow under a lovely ride from James Davies, who was having his first ride for us. Double Treasure hasn’t been the easiest as he has been mad keen, so we’ve had to be patient whilst we educate him……and thankfully it all came together on Saturday. I’m delighted for Sir Chips Keswick and for our head girl (Kate Robinson) who has put a lot of time and effort into him. This winner takes us to 20 winners for the season which equals our best but we’ve topped our best prizemoney total, so this is officially our best season to date. With three weeks of the season still to go, I hope we can finish with a rattle…..

Double Treasure wins well at Chepstow on Saturday.

One horse who should be winning before long is Lord Topper. We have been waiting for the better ground and he made his debut over hurdles last week at Huntingdon where he finished 4th, but only beaten less than 2 lengths! Although always a shame not to win, I was delighted with Topper as the 2nd horse was rated 120….he travelled kindly, jumped superbly in a slowly run race but were outpaced leaving the back straight, however he stayed on strongly inside the final 2 furlongs and were the fastest finisher. I think he’ll go even closer on his next start with that run under his belt. Below is a link to the race:

Lord Topper is by a 2017 Cheltenham Festival winning sire in Sir Percy and was a winner on the flat over 1m5 on only his third run on the flat and is an exciting hurdling prospect.  We are selling 10% shares in him, and the buy in cost is £4,000 + vat; and with £200 +vat /month (all vat is reclaimable).

Lord Topper - You’ll not regret investing in this chap.
