After the joys of winning at Cheltenham last Saturday it has been back to reality this week....
The Winter horses are working well, and a lot of them are almost ready to run - we just need a bit of rain now. Horseshoe Reef ran another gallant race yesterday, and was just touched off by 2 lengths. Unfortunately Sam T-D was unable to ride, but Tom Cannon gave him a lovely ride, but Sam knows him so well, and it may have been a missed opportunity. Oscar the Myth ran well at Chepstow, and jumped well considering it was his first time over fences - Ryan gave him a lovely ride, and he'll be winning on soft ground through the winter, providing he gets a bit of help from the handicapper.
Graduation Night runs at Wincanton this afternoon, and I think he should have every chance. He was slightly disappointing last season over hurdles, but he's been jumping fences really well, and although he has a lot of weight to carry, I'd like to think he'll go close.
