As one season finishes and the next starts, I'm delighted that we’ve started how we finished…with another winner.
I am thrilled that we finished last season with 25 winners, 37 seconds, 22 thirds and 31 fourth placed horses which meant 55% of all our runners were in the winners enclosure contributing to just shy of £200,000. Obviously, it was frustrating that some of those many seconds weren’t winners, but the horses have kept their form throughout the season and it was lovely to round off the season with another Cheltenham winner…….and start this season with a winner at Kempton on Monday.
Our Three Sons followed up his lovely win at Stratford (last season) with a decent display of front running at Kempton on Monday (this season) under another good ride from Page Fuller. As this race was an amateur race we might look at running him again next week as he wouldn’t carry a penalty for his second win.
Our Three Sons wins again and is the first for the new season.
We are in the process of turning a few out for their summer holidays now, and are selling a few as well before we head to the sales later this month and over the summer looking to bolster our team for the winter. Having bettered our previous best season, I sincerely hope and think we have a great team to really build on this momentum and move forward to compete at the top table……
