I was pleased with Breaking Bits' seasonal debut yesterday where he finished 2nd in a handicap hurdle at Wincanton, on ground that would have been plenty soft enough for him.  He won two novices last summer, and after a 8 month break, Breaking Bits showed he'll be a lot of fun this summer.  I'd like to think he can continue to run well over hurdles, but he'll certainly make a decent novice chaser too.

It was a shame that Rhythm Star was balloted out of the Listed Mares Bumper at Aintree tomorrow - she won on her bumper debut at Taunton in January and would have had a chance tomorrow....its frustrating, but there will be other days for her.

We'll be off to Ffos Las on Sunday with Scuderia, who is on his last chance....unless he improves he'll be on the transfer list!  Let's hope the step up in trip over fences brings about that improvement.
