American Ladie made her debut for us at Fontwell yesterday. She ran well and finished a creditable 2nd, considering she had trouble in running when she was almost brought down at the last with a circuit to run, and then she was almost taken out of the race by the loose horse. Despite all that, I was very pleased with her run, as I thought she may just need it, and the race should put her spot on for a mares novice at Newton Abbot on 20th September.
