Well it was a slightly frustrating debut for Imperial Plan yesterday as the poor lad fell 3 out when just mounting a challenge…..however, the good news is that he is ok.  He's got a couple of scrapes on him, and he's trotted out a bit stiff and sore today, so he'll need some tlc over the next week but thank goodness he's relatively unscathed.

He travelled and jumped well throughout the race - he was a bit big and careful over a couple of flights early on.  He was tucked in about 4th for most of the journey, but jumped into contention at the last down the back, and Brendan was just winding him up coming into the 3rd last and he'd taken a narrow lead when slightly over jumping and stumbling on landing and the momentum meant he did a summersault.  It was probably too early to say what might have happened, but the race didn’t take much winning in the end as the favourite disappointed, and so……we will never know.  At least he'll have another day...
