I was delighted that Breaking Bits won his maiden hurdle at Fontwell on Sunday. He has been a touch unlucky this season, but he put that right with an assured round of jumping, as he galloped all the way to the line. We'll see how he comes out of the race, but he might carry a penalty in another novice, or graduate into handicap company now. He looks to be a nice sort, and will make up into a smashing chaser in time.
I was disappointed with Shinko Moon's run last week, but he works well at home and we might drop him back in trip and put a tongue tie on him. Buxom will head off on her holiday now having gone off the boil, as we turn a load out for the summer now. I think we'll have around 10 to run over the next few months, while the others have their well deserved breaks. It is therefore great for us to get a few quick winners on the board - lets hope the season carries on as it has started......
