Caminero ran too badly to be true on Thursday at Ludlow - however thankfully Tom came back and reported that he choked and needs a wind op over the summer.  Although disappointing, I am pleased we found this out at this time of year, and not in November when we are beginning our novice chase campaign.  I'd like to think that after strengthening up during a summer holiday, and after a wind op, he could be a very nice horse to go chasing with next season.

I was keen to run Graduation Night on Thursday at Wincanton, but the ground there was firmer than concrete, and so we decided to go to Haydock yesterday, where they had done a very good job watering - and actually it rode good to soft, and slightly dead.  We failed to bounce off the ground, and finished 5th, which was highly commendable as he didn't travel a yard on the ground.  I think he's the type for the Summer National, but he is only 6 years old, and it might be that we aim for that race in 2013.
