We've had a quiet time over the last week or so - no runners, but plenty going on back here at Folly House. We haven't run any lately as I got so bored of the ground being bottomless, that I backed off them all a bit at home, freshened them up. As a result, they all are bouncing and as fresh as paint.....!
I think we better get on and run some now. So I think we'll run Soutine on Friday at Huntingdon - it will be his first time in handicap company and we'll step him up in trip. He has had stomach ulcers, and having treated them I'd hope there was more to come from him. Ballyboker Boy will try to go to Ffos Las on Tuesday, but as his last two engagements have been called off, I wouldn't hold you breath. He looked to be potentially quite useful last season, but wasn't seeing his races out. Having had a wind op over the summer, I hope he might be well handicapped. He would be better suited by going chasing, but with a hurdle mark of 113, this new novice chase rule prevents him, and the BHA must look into this, as it is ludicrous
