Caminero ran at Taunton last week, making his debut over fences he was having his first run since undergoing a wind op in the summer.  Unfortunately it looks as though he has lost all confidence in his breathing, as he just didn't go through with his challenge at all.  Having run so well behind Ill de Re in his novice hurdle, I really thought he looked well handicapped - however, its back to the drawing board with him.  We'll potter away with him, send him hunting, and let him enjoy himself, before we let him run in a  point-to-point.  If he shows his enthusiasm for the game again, then we'll bring him back under rules, off what looks a workable mark.....

We have recently had a few new horses turn up here - Breaking Bits, Houndscourt, and Stormy Oscar.  Breaking Bits is a 5 year old gelding by Oscar, who has come from Tom Taaffe's in Ireland.  We bought Ixora from Tom, and I hope Breaking Bits can win as many races as her!  Houndscourt is a 5 year old gelding by Court Cave who has won an Irish Point.  He has been bought by Jon Hughes and 'Owners for Owners'.  Stormy Oscar has been bought as a new horse for the Jamie Snowden Racing Club, and having been very consistent in Ireland, I hope we can have plenty of fun with him over the coming year.  Membership into the club couldn't be any cheaper at £700 all inclusive for the entire year, so do please spread the word.....
