Ixora ran a cracker at Ffos Las yesterday. We stepped her up to 2m4, and she travelled, and jumped beautifully. She hit the front 2 out, and should have put the race to bed, but was just caught on the run in - it has to go down as a missed opportunity. I am sure there is a big handicap in her, and we may look at Cheltenham in October.
We have really stepped up our schooling of the young horses, and I have been very impressed with them all. We popped a couple over the barrels on Wednesday, and two to note are Shinko Moon and Miss Milborne. Shinko Moon is showing a great attitude towards his jumping, and Miss Milborne is a natural jumper. We'll run them both in a bumper first before they go novice hurdling, but I think they are both exciting prospects for the coming months.....
