Knighton Combe ran a cracking race today in the Welsh National at Chepstow to finish 8th. He jumped and travelled really well, and I was beginning to get excited at the bottom bend, until the leaders just quickened away from him. Unfortunately he is going to be pretty tricky to place now as he is probably just a bit high in the handicap now, and he is not getting any younger. However he still retains all his enthusiasm, so we'll aim to run him on some better ground, and that may lead us to the Scottish National in April.
