Double Treasure winning the competitive Class 2 Novice Chase at Cheltenham on Saturday at the Showcase meeting was a huge thrill for all of us.  He was given a peach of a ride by Gavin Sheehan, as he jumped from pillar to post but was caught flat footed coming down the hill and looked booked for 4th at best, but Gavin held him together and got a great split up the inside to challenge again coming to the last and with another fine jump he galloped up the famous Cheltenham hill to victory.  In turn notching up his 4th win on the bounce and confirming his place in the BetVictor Chase (ex Paddy Power Chase) at the Cheltenham November meeting.

We also ran Dans Le Vent at Cheltenham on the Friday, and he ran well to be 2nd in the class 3 maiden hurdle.  Unfortunately, he bumped into a potential star in Slate House, who Colin Tizzard said in his stable tour "Cost plenty......is a gorgeous horse, and works like a real good horse" however Dans Le Vent pushed him all the way up the hill, and we'll look to win a smaller race with him now before he steps up in class and trip.

Of our other recent runners, Instant Karma was in the process of running a nice race at Cheltenham until he was hampered at the 2nd last.  We'll probably get his wind done over the winter and have him back for the spring.  Meanwhile, it was a shame that Adrrastos and Aidan had a misunderstanding between them as they landed in the 3rd last at Plumpton when still leading and going well.  Thankfully Aidan pulled him up straight after that, and we live to fight another day, but he'll have a winter holiday now.
