It was the confirmation stage of the Welsh National today, and we have some excellent news - Knighton Combe will definitely get a run, and will creep in at the foot of the handicap. After winning the Summer National he had a well deserved summers break, and had a little prep run over hurdles at Ffos Las, which he needed and he is blossoming now and should be ready for this big test.
Before that though we have Miss Milborne running at Fontwell in a mares novice hurdle on Boxing Day. She has come out of the Hereford race well, and the ground at Fontwell is looking heavy, so I'd be very hopeful that we have a decent chance. I did enter Graduation Night in the Feltham, but that was only because the race re-opened and I didn't want to think we missed an opportunity, however it was a snap decision, and he will run at Doncaster on Thursday 29th December. It looks to be a busy but fun Christmas period.....
