I was slightly disappointed with American Ladie yesterday at Doncaster, as I thought she had every chance.  She jumped really nicely, and came there travelled well but failed to quicken up in the rain softened ground.  All of her form for us has been on good or better ground, and I think the soft ground just blunts her speed.  We'll give her a bit of a break now, and come back in the spring over fences - she's a nice mare, and we'll have lots more fun with her novice chasing.

I really hope Hereford is not frosted off tomorrow, as I am keen to run Miss Milborne in the soft ground over 2m6.  It looks a pretty warm contest with several Irish Point winners in the line up from the Henderson and Nicholl's yard, but we'll get a 7lbs allowance off them, and I think Miss Milborne is progressing all the time.

Our new Jamie Snowden Racing Club is proving very popular, and I really think we have a fun horse for the season.  Millers Reef did a lovely piece of work this morning - I will put a news sub section on the Racing Club page this week, so that all the new members can read about their club horse.
