Lucy, Lettie and I have just got back from a week away salmon fishing in Scotland. We had a lovely time away, and it was great to spend some quality time with Lettie.
Our good run of form has continued in my absence with Lough Derg Way scoring in impressive fashion in the bumper at Uttoxeter on Thursday. I'm told it was the 6th fastest bumper at Uttoxeter since 1997, and was the most competitive bumper of the season so far. The next fastest was Daves Dream, with Carruthers in second in May 2007. Lough Derg Way looks an exciting recruit to our team of horses for the season ahead. Horseshoe Reef ran another blinder on Friday at Southwell and was just denied by a horrendous blunder 3 out, and finished a closing 2nd again.
