Thankfully the weather held out for an amazing Lambourn Open Day on Good Friday. I was immensely proud to be asked to parade Present View in the main arena along with Kauto Star, Sprinter Sacre, and Toast of New York. He looked a picture, and showed himself off really well.

I think Lettie and Harry also enjoyed the day as Lettie spent most of the afternoon on the bouncy castle, and Harry tucked into the picnic. I believe that there was a record crowd, with all proceeds going to all the various racing charities – so it was a huge success.

This morning we found that the Easter rabbit had visited us, and so Lettie and Harry are currently going mad on chocolate…so I’m about to leave Lucy to it, and head up to Towcester for the afternoon. Ultra Klass should have solid each way claims, and Borguy will no doubt improve for the experience again, but might be able to run into a place.

Easter Monday will be our final runners for the season where Dark Lover runs in a novice chase and Breaking Bits runs in the 2 mile handicap hurdle. Both look to have good chances, and let’s hope we can end the season on a high…
