With runners starting to pick up, things are getting busier on the yard. There has been a noticable change in the weather in the past couple of weeks with it definately feeling more autumnal, with some beautiful chilly mornings as well as the rain arriving this week. This can only mean the start of the jumps season is just around the corner!
There are lots of things to look farward to in October, including the first meeting of the new season at Cheltenham, and with crowds back at full capacity it should be a spectacle. Closer to home, the horses are all feeling fresh and well and ready to run now the rain has got into the ground, and with a great team of staff to take us forward, there is definitely excitement in the air.
There has been lots going on in the national hunt world with the retirements of both Altior and Min being announced, two greats of the modern jumping game who most definitely left their mark on the sport. Its horses like that who get our sport noticed by the outside world which is so important, especially with some opf the bad press that has been circulting in the past year. However, onwards and upwards and hopefully we can find our own stable stars this season from here at Folly House!
