Lucy, Lettie and I are now back from France where we spent a week on holiday with all of Lucy's family. It was a lovely relaxing break, with lots of good food, and wine and plenty of tennis and swimming. It was a perfect time to head away after the move up to Folly House and after a good couple of winners.
We are now beginning to bring the winter horses back in after their summer holidays, however the summer horses are still paying their way. We went up to Market Rasen today to run Celticello in a hot looking novice chase. He went off at 16-1 and George Bartlett (a very promising 7lb claimer) rode a smashing race to finish 2nd. He settled at the tail of the field, and crept into contention delivering his challenge at the last, only to be denied close home. It was a shame, but I was very pleased with how he jumped and I am chuffed with how the horses are running from Folly House.
