Some of our mares have recently been covered by leading sires, and I'm delighted to report that Ixora is in foal Lucarno, Joanne One is in foal to Robin Des Champs and that Buxom has just gone to see Midnight Legend.
Obviously we love Midnight Legend as a sire, as both Knighton Combe (Summer National Winner) and Reves D'Amour are both by him. When I dropped Buxom off at Pitchall Stud, they offered me the free lease of a 4 year old filly of theirs called Midnight Silver. She is by Midnight Legend out of a Darley bred Daylami mare, who was out of the sister to the high class Flame of Tara, who was the dam of the Classic winner Salsabil and Group 1 miler, Marju.
She was backed last summer as a 3 year old, and has had 6 months pre training followed by 2 months holiday out in the paddocks at Pitchall Stud. She is ready to crack on with, and should be ready for a bumper in the early autumn. She is available on a free lease basis…..
