The club horses for 2017 are...

Queens Cloak

2013 bay filly by Definite Article ex Love Divided (Ire) (Kings Ride)

This 4-year-old filly (pictured above) is a half-sister to Belcanto who has won a bumper and over hurdles for us this season.  She is out of the prolific Irish Point winning mare, Love Divided, from the family of Rathgorman who won the Queen Mother Champion Chase, and Lord Windermere the recent Cheltenham Gold Cup winner.

Belcanto (pictured below) won her bumper for the Jamie Snowden Racing Club on her 3rd start. She won a competitive race at Fontwell and followed up over hurdles on her handicap debut once again at Fontwell.

The Club has now welcomed Queens Cloak (Belcanto’s sister) to the team and she looks to have more size and scope than her sister so I would hope she can follow in her sister’s footsteps, and better her record!

Queens Cloak is unraced but has had a lovely education in Ireland and arrived with us in the autumn. She has been cantering away for the last two months and is now ready to begin some faster work.  She moves well and has a good attitude so she should be ready to run and hopefully win her bumper in the spring.

For just £800/annum you can become a member of The Racing Club for a full period of 12 months (from January 1st 2017).
